Macro Lens Help

Welcome to the mad world of me.....


Hello again.....

I need some help......

I want to get a new macro lens, the one I'm using currently is a Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO Macro.
Its not quite a proper macro lens and i want to get a proper one.
I have a budget of £500 ($1000) ish to spend on one. I have narrowed my lens' down to 3 but I'm open to suggestion, any comments are welcome and if you have links to pictures taken with either one of these 3 lens' or any others worth considering then those are very welcome.
What I'm looking for is saturation and sharpness, because a lot of my work is flowers and animals.

The 3 I have narrowed it down to are (Order of preference):

Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX IF HSM
- Minimum focusing distance: 38cm
- Max Magnification: 1:1
- Price: £4xx ($8xx) ish

Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
- Minimum focusing distance: 31cm
- Max Magnification: 1:1
- Price: £47x ($94x) ish

- Minimum focusing distance: 31.3cm
- Max Magnification: 1:1
- Price: £33x ($66x) ish

Hey I just started using a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens. It seems to be pretty good to me. My latest pics are all mostly taken with my new lens, check 'em out!!

It can be hard to get the focus right though.. but that is probably just practice as it is sooo sensitive!
